Meet Sammi. With an avid love of music, Sammi has always gravitated toward music and movement, and was training to be a professional ballet dancer in her teens. However in 2009 she was diagnosed with Anorexia and Depression and was hospitalised for six weeks. During her time in hospital, Sammi realised just how therapeutic music can be, and started writing her own songs as a way of expressing and healing herself. Embarking on a musical journey, Sammi knew she wanted to share her story with others, so made the move toward pursuing music professionally. Until recently she owned and ran a coffee van for over six years, and has also been working in hospitality and as a music teacher to make ends meet. Today she is touring and working on music in a full-time capacity— her passion evident in her drive to succeed. She is a Strong Woman.
