Meet Whitney. Originally from Tennessee, Whitney has always been an advocate for women’s rights and religious tolerance. With her Master in Global Affairs and International Cooperation, Whitney has spent the past 10 years working on these issues, and has lived and worked in Cairo, Berlin, and now Istanbul. Her love of cultural fusion and passion for storytelling led Whitney to found the Middle East Collective. MEC is an initiative that promotes the understanding of the Middle East and North Africa region and tolerance of Islam, while embracing Muslim communities in the West. Helping to build a bridge between the worlds she loves most — the Middle East and USA, Whitney’s vision brings light to the rich stories of the MENA region. She is a Strong Woman.
